28 Creative and inspirational black & white photographs
Black and white photography has a way of letting the viewer really experience the image. Composition, light/shadow, texture and tonal qualities all become more obvious and important when color is absent.
Black and white portraits have an entirely different impact than color ones. When color is removed we are allowed to see into the subject, to really get a sense of emotion more so than if it were color.
Another way I look at it is if an image had a soul it would be black and white. Stripping away the window dressing (color) allows you to get down to the real essence of the image. Continue Reading »

Macro photography is the art of taking close-up pictures that reveal details which can’t be seen with the naked eye. It gives us a glimpse into the world of the very small, which goes largely unnoticed by us as we hurriedly shuffle through our day. Continue Reading »

Things We Like: Sunreef Yachts One-fifty Catamaran
Sunreef yachts has introduced a new model of catamaran, the ‘one fifty’. with a length of 45 meters the one fifty distinguishes itself from other catmarans currently on the market. this is because of the superstructure’s slenderness, which occupies the entire width of the yacht, and its original combination of aesthetics which together form the hull’s hydrodynamics. the catamaran considers the values of modern design, its concept having been influenced by the design of racing cars. the supserstructure and hull are covered with solar panels. teak has been evenly set on the deck of the catamaran without cuts, and the cockpit has moved to the front of the vessel. the one fifty provides enough space for 12 guests and a crew of 9 persons.
